Unlike kefir grains, which grow in size and have a defined structure, these yogurt type milk cultures grow within the culturing substrate. By setting aside some of the yogurt culture from each batch of freshly made yogurt as your yogurt 'starter or seed' to make your next batch of fresh yogurt, these yogurt starters should last you indefinitely. No need to periodically replace your yogurt starters in order to replenish your yogurt supply.
All dairy type cultures are organically grown and maintained on whole cow’s milk. We recommend using organic milk to keep the cultures healthy and strong.
